I am not sure who started painting rocks and leaving them on our walking trails but it was a lovely idea for young and old. Children must be so bored staying at home – so much so that I saw my neighbor’s toddler swimming the breast stroke in the street puddle (where the sprinkler water gathers)!

Those are so lovely. This horrible, strange and scary reality is bringing out some wonderful ideas. I particularly like ‘Otis. Love’ which I imagine might be supposed to be the other way around. Which is often how I feel! 💕

We love using stones and shells for various art projects. Ericeira is in to painting and she paints so much and so fast that we usually run out of the paper. With arts and crafts shops closed, we use what we find. And you can always wash them and then start again 😉

I think this lovely idea of rock art ebbs and flows, but it’s a wonderful way to send positive messages. It has been a few years since these rocks were popular here, but I hope they will return. If I may be so presumptuous:

The plague of frogs has arrived already… I kept wondering why I could hear sheep bleating at the pond until I Googled it. It is a type of frog that sounds exactly like a sheep! 🐸

I love when people get creative during a hardship. Lovely colors and the last rock with the word love painted on it says it all. How is the toilet paper supply, hair coloring, paper towels and stocking up on grocery going? I think of you often.

Our shops are mostly stocked up now – still no Clorox wipes. Apparently our meat supply may be at risk but that doesn’t bother me…😁 Plenty of hair dye and I finally covered my gray roots. Hurrah! Kisses to you!

These are such pretty painted rocks! I like the second one the best. They are all so lovely and whoever painted them and left them out must have been in a great mood. Painting seems to be getting popular over the last few years. Some people I know have started doing more watercolours or taking one-off painting classes.

Yes, they’re a lovely distraction when out for a walk or run. My favourite was the very first one I saw many weeks ago now – a number of stones, each a different colour, inviting passers-by to make their own rainbow 🙂
